Focus your daytime hours on one personally enriching non-credit course for which you will receive a narrative assessment and certificate. Interact with peers from around the world to become a global citizen. Supplement your formal academic experience by choosing to attend a weekend evening film series:

9 AM - NOON Academy course
NOON - 1:30 PM Lunch and campus exploration
1:30 PM - 4 PM Academy course
4 PM - 6:30 PM Explore campus and the surrounding off-campus area, optional residential activities, and clubs
6:30 PM - 8 PM Dinner and optional residential activities
8 PM - 9:30 PM On-campus exploration and optional residential activities
9:30 PM Residence Hall meeting
11 PM Quiet time

Note: Students must be on campus no later than 9:00 PM and in the residence hall after 10:00 PM unless a structured residential activity has been organized and is supervised by staff.

Residential Life at Summer College will be filled with community-building activities such as an optional Durham Bulls’ baseball game or off-campus excursions such as shopping trips, nature hikes, and talent shows. There will also be opportunities for shopping and exploring 9th Street with your friends. Beyond the regularly scheduled programming, our residential staff can help you find additional opportunities to explore the local area and culture. Please note that some of these additional opportunities may carry a fee for which you will be responsible.
