Independent Study

Duke's on-campus Summer Session welcomes students who wish to pursue independent study under the guidance of a Duke faculty member.

Students should be reminded that an independent study does not carry an Area of Knowledge designation. However, one Research Independent Study (coded R) may be submitted for approval for the Writing in the disciplines (W) designation.
